Perfect anchor kit. I ordered this for my paddle board and it fits on the front and is so useful for when I need to sit and set the anchor for fishing off the board. It is perfect!
the real deal y'all! perfect for my dad's fishing kayak!! after losing not one but two, BOTH of my dad's homemade-fashioned anchors for his kayak, i felt the duty to replace upon my shoulders a heavy burden. until the OULEME 3.5LB FOLDING grapnel anchor kit entered the picture FOR THE DUB! truly well made, excellent quality materials and workmanship, highly portable and suitable for use on a small or large kayak, stowable and the perfect weight to keep you on spot fishing. this is so the right gear in one package together. it will grip the floor when needed and fold up when released to allow your float. my dad was so thrilled he is alway planning a trip to try it out in the next week or so. excellent value for the price point at under 30, highly recommend if you're a kayak fishing person!
easy to use, easy to store, and invaluable to have if you're out fishing. the weight is perfect, not enough to bog me down when im moving but plenty to hold me steady on a windy day.
Very light weight, used it in high winds and it kept me in place. The orange stands out under the water. Easy to pack back in its bag which is nice and padded. Highly recommend!
Nice folding anchor. Made of nice quality material. Comes with a travel bag for easy storage for both when and when not in use.I really appreciate they way it fold and then locks open. This design will definitely hold a kayak or canoe stable.Nice quality product at a good price
If you like floating and swimming while you're out on your paddle board or what have you, this is a must have! No more drifting to shore for me! Easy to use. Durable, lightweight, and the perfect size to tuck in my dry bag!
I got this anchor for an inflatable kayak on the Carmel River to allow for stops to take photos of the birds and flowers. The river is typically slow moving so this anchor is perfect. Here are the things I really like about it. It takes up very little room - it's easy to tuck in near my feet. It is very easy to deploy - unfolding in no time at all. While the water is clear - the bright red is easily seen. The float makes losing it in the event of a poor tie off pretty unlikely. It's easy to clean. The anchor catches easily in the rocks and in a slow moving current works very well. 😊
I recently purchased a second SUP so my spouse can go out on the water with me, and I got this anchor to keep the SUP from drifting when we stop to take a break. Part of the fun of getting out on the lake is being able to stop to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature, as well as a multitude of other things such as tanning, meditating, yoga, etc. Anyway, I digress. In order to stay in place, it is necessary to drop an anchor unless the water is perfectly still, which is rarely the case. The 40 foot rope has been long enough for the anchor to reach the bottom of all the lakes I've used it in. Some locations are shallow, but others have been up to 30 feet deep; this anchor has kept me from drifting each time I have use it. The carabiner clips onto a D-ring on the SUP.The anchor is similar to many other anchors out there, including the anchor for my other SUP. The four flukes fold up and are held in place for storage by a twist lock collar. The anchor, rope and float fit neatly in the compact storage bag that is included. There are a couple of things that seem odd about this particular anchor. The main thing is that the rope is attached at the bottom of the anchor instead of at the top; it is tethered to the top as well with a wire tie. With my other anchor, the rope is knotted at the top only. This configuration takes more coordination when folding up the flukes and fitting the twist lock collar around them. Maybe they figure the knot is less likely to come undone this way. Also, the knot ends up in the mud and needs to be rinsed out when the anchor is retrieved. The carabiner also seems a little odd with its threads. I think it's to allow the carabiner to be locked to the ring, but I don't have any concern about it coming off while in use without being locked.
I purchased this Folding Grapple Anchor Kit with the 40 FT Rope and Buoy for kayak fishing and small watercraft use, and it has exceeded my expectations. The folding grapple design is compact and easy to store, making it convenient to carry without taking up much space on board. The anchor deploys quickly and provides a solid hold in a variety of bottom conditions, including rocky, sandy, and weedy areas. The included 40-foot rope offers plenty of length for most lakes, rivers, and nearshore applications, while the buoy makes retrieval much easier and helps keep track of the anchor location. The construction feels durable and well-made, with sturdy grappling arms that fold and unfold smoothly. I also appreciate that the kit comes ready to use right out of the package, eliminating the need to purchase additional accessories separately.Whether you're kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, or using a small boat, this anchor kit provides dependable performance and excellent value for the price. Overall, it's a practical and reliable solution for maintaining position on the water, and I would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a complete anchor setup.
Quick shipping, exactly as advertised
I have been using this folding grapnel anchor kit on my small watercraft, and it has turned out to be a very practical setup. The anchor feels sturdy for its size, and the folding design makes it easy to store without taking up much space. It fits neatly in my storage compartment, and the included bag keeps everything organized when I am not using it.On the water, the anchor holds well in sand and mud, which is exactly what I need when I want to stop and fish or take a break. The four flukes grab the bottom reliably, and the locking collar keeps everything in place until I am ready to fold it back up. The forty foot rope gives plenty of reach for the areas where I usually anchor, and the small buoy is a nice touch in case the line ever slips out of my hands. One feature I appreciate is the breakaway style retrieval setup. If the anchor ever gets wedged under rocks, the connection is designed to release so it can be pulled out from the opposite direction. I have not had to use that yet, but it gives me peace of mind when anchoring near structure. The weight feels just right for kayaks, paddle boards, and other small craft. It is strong enough to keep me in place without being too heavy to carry. The carabiner makes attaching it quick and simple, and the whole kit feels like a complete solution rather than something I need to modify.Overall, this is a compact and dependable anchor kit that works well for calm lakes, slow rivers, and general recreational use. It is easy to store, easy to deploy, and a great companion for small watercraft.
This anchor was the perfect accessory to add to my canoe fishing set up. Its compact design made it easy to stow under the sit out of the way until I found the perfect cove to sit and fish in. At that point it was easy to remove from the bag for easy deployment. Once deployed the anchor held my canoe easily while I fished for hours. Even while fighting to pull in large fish the anchor did its job and held us in place. The bright color makes it easy to find. The bag keeps everything together so its at the ready. The construction seems to be well made and it should last for years. Definitely a good quality price at a good price point.
This is a nice anchor for your kayak or canoe. I got the 3.5 lb. anchor and it is heavy enough for the prongs that come out to dig into the bottom of a lake. With 40' of rope you can anchor out fairly deep. I don't think I would use this for anything bigger than a canoe, it's probably not heavy enough for a bigger boat. The bag it comes with is pretty heavy duty and surprisingly, I could get the anchor back into it after taking it out, so it is useable.
I picked up the OULEME 3.5 LB Folding Grapnel Anchor Kit (Green) for my kayak trips out on the lake, and it has completely changed how I spend my time on the water. Space is always at a premium on a kayak, but this folding grapnel design is incredibly compact. It folds down smoothly and fits perfectly into my kayak's cubby hole storage hatch without taking over the whole space. This anchor kit is exactly what I needed for hot summer days. I can paddle out to a quiet cove, drop the anchor, and easily dock right there. It holds great in the lake bed, giving me total peace of mind to jump into the water, cool off, and swim around without constantly worrying about my kayak wandering off or drifting away with the current.
I used this anchor kit on my kayak and was really pleased with how convenient and effective it was. The folding design makes it easy to store without taking up much room, and the included rope, buoy, and bag make it feel like a complete setup right out of the box. It held well in the conditions I used it in, and I liked how simple it was to deploy and pull back in when I was ready to move. Overall, it's a handy, well-rounded anchor kit for small watercraft and paddle sports.
Took this out over the weekend on my kayak and it worked great!!! The bag is very convenient. It is small enough to tuck into side wall. It is lightweight and was strong. Very good value and craftsmanship.
This is actually a pretty well thought out anchor kit, especially for paddle boards and smaller watercraft used on lakes. I like that the anchor material is not bare metal, so there is less chance of scratching or damaging an inflatable board while moving it around. The folding design makes storage easy and it does not take up much room at all. The included rope and buoy setup is also decent for the price. My favorite part honestly is the tear away retrieval design. If the anchor gets stuck under rocks or debris, the zip tie style connection can break away so the anchor folds up and pulls out from the opposite direction instead of being permanently stuck. Haven't had to test that feature yet thankfully, but it's a very smart idea and could save you from losing the whole setup. For kayak fishing or paddle board fishing on calmer lakes, this works great.
I have been thinking about replacing my 10lb mushroom anchor in my kayak. It is too heavy and cumbersome. Saw this one and thought I would give it a try. It seems well made and the finish appears to be tough. The rope is thick and easy to attach with the carabiner. Haven't lost an anchor yet but glad to see a small buoy on the end of the line if you accidentally drop the hole thing off the kayak it is not gone. I like the size and the fact that it locks open or locks closed. I was always concerned that this type anchor would get tangled and lost but didn't realize the zip tie was a breakaway so it could be retrieved from the bottom end. The carry bag and size makes this perfect for a small craft and look forward to taking the kayak out soon to try it out. Overall I think this is a good value for the money and would recommend it.
I think this is the perfect size and weight for small watercraft. I plan to use this with my jetski and like the strong well balanced design. The entire kit fits into the padded bag that it comes with. This will not only secure the anchor, but keep your watercraft safe from damage if it shifts during use.The carabiner is stainless steel and well made with a spring loaded clip and a screw on safety... which is great. The anchor has a solid paint job to protect it and is well balanced and constructed. The grappling tines are secured by a collar in the open and the close position, which is a great feature. The kit also comes with good quality and good length of waterproof line along with a clearly visible buoy for safety and visibility.I feel like the 3.5lb anchor offers the best mix of weight and hold strength for the majority of watercraft.Highly recommended!
This is a great compact anchor for small floating crafts like paddle boards or small inflatable boats. I ordered this anchor for my paddle board that I take out onto the ocean. I will often jump off the board with my snorkel gear to take a look around and this anchor keeps the board firmly in place so I do not have to worry about the board getting away from me. It is also nice to be able to have the board anchored in one spot to hang onto to have a rest when tired from swimming. The rope is 40 feet long, which is plenty deep for what I am using it for, and it has a small buoy incase the rope were to come detached from the craft. There is also a carabiner for attachment so the worry of detachment is nonexistent with this product. Another great feature is that it all packs up into a little bag that you can attach to a D ring while you are paddling around. The is a great item that is easy to use and very handy to have.
I choose the 3.5lb variant for use with a fiberglass John boat used on local streams and rivers for fishing. Overall I like the anchor. The folding arms help keep it compact for storage yet still offer good holding power when folded out. The float marker is useful for showing where you are anchored if you allow the boat to float a little while fishing. Attached line is a little thin for my taste, see it as possibly snapping if anchored in rocky area and it rubs rocks. Would recommend for anyone with ligjt weight boat for stream/river anchoring. Just may need extra length of rope depending on depth of where you use it.
This folding grapnel anchor kit is a nice compact setup and seems very well built for the price point. Everything arrived clean and organized, and the anchor folds down nicely for storage without taking up much room.We are planning to use this on a roughly 400 lb CraigCat, and based on the size and design, it should work beautifully for that type of small watercraft. The included rope and buoy are a nice bonus and make it feel like a complete ready to use kit right out of the box.Overall, this feels very budget friendly while still offering solid quality and good value. Great option for kayaks, paddle boards, small boats, PWCs, or lightweight recreational watercraft.
This 3.5 pound folding grapnel anchor works perfectly and keeps my kayak in place while fishing. It's especially useful when fishing in areas with light current or wind where you don't want to constantly keep reposition yourself. The anchor grabs well in sand and muddy bottoms and has done a good job of holding my kayak steady while I fish. One feature I really like is how compact and easy it is to use and store. Folded down it's only about 12" x 3", so it doesn't take up much room in the kayak. It also comes with a protective bag, which helps prevent the galvanized steel anchor from scratching or damaging the kayak in transport or storage. Deployment is simple, just unfold it, toss it out, and let it set. The 3 1/2 pound weight feels like a good balance between holding power and portability for kayak fishing. The galvanized construction also makes it suitable for both freshwater and saltwater use. Overall, this is a handy and practical anchor for kayak anglers who want a simple way to stay positioned while fishing. If you enjoy fishing from a kayak and want something compact, durable, and easy to use, this anchor is definitely worth considering.
