This anchor is very well made and the folding box design is actually smart. It feels strong, easy to store, and better thought out than a basic anchor that can get stuck on rocks, branches, or junk at the bottom of a lake or river.I like that it folds down because it makes it easier to handle and less annoying to carry around with the rope and chain. Let me start by saying I over bought for the record. I have an 18 foot Bayliner which states I could have bought the 13 LB anchor. For the price difference I bought the 25 LB because when I upgrade I want to make sure I don't run into the same issue I had before. The lake I am on has a soft muddy bottom. When I pulled this anchor out it proved its durability and grip as it had mud still on the spikes. I will say the overall appearance and ease of use is worth 5 starts all day. Not sure if the weight includes the attached chain or not.
